Rock Auto was established in March of 2002.  David and Deanna Brewer were high school sweet hearts and married for 15 years, finished college, served in the U.S. military, had three children, built a home and worked as independent floor contractors for nine years together.  Claude Dowers, a Godly man, took David under his wing like a father, with nothing to gain, and taught David everything he knew about the car business.  Stepping out in faith, Rock Auto was moved from the Brewer’s home to Main Street (north of its present location) in Vidor, Texas in May 2002.  Due to guidance and a push from the Lord in the form of Hurricane Rita in October 2005, David and Deanna purchased the property of the new Rock Auto location at 1055 North Main Street.  This endeavor would have never been successful without the Lord, hard work and encouragement from our children Alex, Tyler and Lilly, the Faith Baptist Church family, David’s mother Ruth and brother, Kelly.
